Last April 2008 was the month-long anniversary of God’s Lovingkindness Community International, having its grand celebration held on the last Sunday of this month (April 27). We anticipated that some guests would come upstairs our church and check out the mini-library we are trying to establish so we decided to at least make it look like a library.
With the initial resources we received as donations, we tried our best (especially the boys of HaSTE – Harvest Season on Teens’ Evangelism) to set up library stuffs such as study tables, shelves etc. Although financially this project was not successful during the past months (having funds of only Php1400), we did recycling on the donated materials. We fervently adhere to the stewardship principles taught in the Bible so we made the most of everything we have. See the pictures and be blessed the same way we were.
1. Temporarily sorted the books on the first shelf
2. Still in need of book donations
3. Filing cabinets for the church and library files
4. Bag Shelves made from some defective drawers (‘Please leave your bags here..’ ehehe)
5. 2pcs 4-level magazine stands also made from the drawers donated by Summit Technologies
6. An improvised four-desk study table obviously done by unprofessional carpenters, hehe!!
7. A new bulletin board bigger than our previous one
We hope to keep you updated, especially for this month (May) that we are planning to raise funds. May the good Lord make it effective this time.. God bless everyone!!
